We live about 300 miles apart :(
We are both nurses
We ABSOLUTELY LOVE being twins
We have an uncanny knack of knowing when the other is having a rough day
We love to craft
We have awesome parents!!!
Every day of the week has a theme at our blog, so stop by for something new at least 5 days a week!

.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Onion Soup Potatoes:.

This has been one of my go-to recipes for a tasty, simple side dish for a couple of years now! It is so simple, but so tasty!

What you need:
- potatoes
- one packet of dry onion soup mix
- vegetable or olive oil (1/3 cup)

Wash your potatoes and cut them into cubes. I used three regular potatoes because my father in law had given us a bag full of them. They were quite tasty, but I think red potatoes are the best for this recipe!

Mix your 1/3 c of oil with your dry soup mix. It won't look like a lot, but it is! Don't add extra oil - I've made that mistake before and ended up with super oily potatoes!
Stir in the mix to your potatoes, making sure each one is covered.

Bake for about one hour at 350.

Enjoy! Yum!

.:Get Your Craft On & DIY Day:.

.:Tutorial Tuesday - Decorative Pumpkin:.

My husband's work is having a pumpkin decorating contest, so naturally he left it up to me! I thought it turned out pretty cute!

What you need:
- pumpkin
- spray paint
- masking tape
- glitter spray (optional)
- fall picks (optional)
- ribbon

First, I used the masking tape to tape down my design on the pumpkin. It seems tedious, but it really didn't take me long. Make sure you wipe down your pumpkin before you start!

Spray paint your pumpkin!

Let the paint dry, and then carefully peel up your tape.

Spray with glitter spray.

Attach your picks and ribbon and you are done!

I've heard of just painting the pumpkin and using something to scrape your design off, too, so maybe you'd rather try that option? Or you could just paint it and then paint another design on it! There are lots of cute white pumpkins out there right now, I may have to give that a try!

.:Feature Friday - Craftaholics Anonymous:.

I'm so excited to introduce you all to Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous. I love the name of her blog! I think a lot of us could relate! She's super creative and super talented, so be sure to go check her blog out after you get done reading about her!

Hey there! I'm Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous. I am so happy to be visiting today! Summer has such a cute blog, so of course I was ecstatic when she asked me to swap! I totally love all the stuff in her etsy shop. It's making me want to put bows on my little man!:)

Well, let me introduce myself a little bit. I'm a new mom to the cutest little guy ever {totally not biased, I swear.} who enjoys sleeping... a lot. So being a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time on my hands.... but little money in my pocket! I am so blessed to have a supportive hubby who *occasionally* helps out with my big ideas {thanks for staying up till midnight last night, babe! xoxo} and waits oh-so-patiently while I “finish one last thing”. I’m an avid runner, currently training for a ½ marathon {yes, I am crazy!}. And when I grow up, I want to be a

Thrift. Store. Junkie.

Hmmm, I believe I already am Thrift Store Junkie… Does that mean I have to act grown up?

Sooo not too long ago, the hubs told me that I needed to do something about my “crafting issues” because our house was apparently turning into a "Michael’s store". I guess you could say that I’ve been diagnosed as a Craftaholic. So after his little intervention, I created
Craftaholics Anonymous to help me deal with my {little} Craft Addiction.

Here's what I've been up to lately:

Fall Kissing Ball made with an old tennis ball.

Add a layer of paper and waa-laa, $1 sad handbag turned fab! Check out my tutorial.

Corner shelf made from an old door.

made with materials around the house like raffia, a dowel, and a free paint stir stick.

I am currently working on transforming this old crib spring.

Let me tell you, you will not recognize it when I'm done!!

My blog recently {as in last night!!} got hUgE makeover. I am so excited about my new digs! Come check 'em out!! I think you'll be impressed with what Miss Alisha Johnson came up with. She really out did herself.

Well, it's been fun visiting! Thanks again, Summer! Happy Friday everyone!

I'll be thinking tonite about what awesome giveaway I can do to say thank you to all of you!

Check back tomorrow!

.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Pumpkin Muffins:.

My sister gave me this recipe a couple of falls ago, and it has become a traditional favorite at our house! This recipe makes a TON, so I usually do half of it with butterscotch chips and the other half with chocolate chips. They are a great visiting teaching or neighbor gift, or even just to freeze for later, and believe me, you'll have plenty to go around!

3 c pumpkin (be sure not to get the pie filling!)
1 1/2 c vegetable oil
4 c sugar
6 eggs
4 3/4 c flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 1/2 t salt
1 1/2 t cinnamon
1 1/2 t nutmeg
1 1/2 t cloves
1 pkg. butterscotch chips (or chocolate chips - or both!)

Pre-heat your oven to 350.

Mix the pumpkin, oil, sugar and eggs.

In a separate bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients (except the chips) and mix.

Stir in with the pumpkin mix.

Stir in chips. (Be sure to set aside half of your batter if you are choosing to do half butterscotch chips and half chocolate chips.)

Line your muffin tin (if you are a liner sort of baker - I despise cleaning out muffin tins, so I always have to line mine!) Fill 2/3 full with batter.

Bake 18-20 minutes. (My oven is more on the 25 minute side, and they were still very moist and soft!)
