.:Tutorial Tuesday - Costume Headband:.

My friend Anna threw a 1920's murder mystery dinner party a couple of weeks ago, and she asked me to help her make a headband to go with her flapper dress costume. We headed out to Joann's to find what we needed!

Obviously, you can adapt this to whatever kind of headband you need for your costume, but I just thought I'd show our process and how cute it turned out!

What you need:
- nylon headband (I made this previously - learn how here)
- embellishments
- hot glue/gun

We first took the black rhinestone embellishment and cut it into little squares. It was not elastic, so we knew we couldn't hot glue it right on the headband, or else it would just pop off once she stretched the headband and put it on her head.

Hot glue the squares on to the headband.

Next we took the pink trim and measured around Anna's head. Then I just glued each end to the headband. It has a ton of slack on it when it is not being worn.

She picked up a cute feather clip, and another feather so we just slid on the clip and used the clip to hold the feather up.

So cute!
