I am so excited that I am blog swapping with Sumo's Sweet Stuff!! Thanks for letting me take over your blog for the day Sumo!
I am Lindsey from Inspiring Creations! I love crafting, but I don't like to spend a ton of money so I try and keep the projects I make as simple and affordable as possible! These are some of the projects I have made that are so easy to make and affordable. Clothespin Magnets, Christmas Tree Advent Calendar, Halloween Pumpkin, and a Harvest Topiary
Today I decided to do a tutorial on how to re-make an old ugly tin into a new fabulous Christmas tin! You can use these to put yummy goodies in or just as a simple decoration!
Let's get started!
Old ugly tin
Step 1: Measure the height of your tin and cut out a piece of scrapbook paper to fit.
Step 2: Apply a thin layer of mod podge on your tin and place your paper on top of the glue and apply another thin layer on top of your paper.
Step 3: For the lid of your tin, trace the lid on a piece of scrapbook paper and then cut it out to fit the lid.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of mod podge on your lid and place your paper on top of the glue and apply another thin layer on top of your paper.
Step 5: Hot glue your ribbon around the rim of the lid.
Step 6: Embellishments! I used a red piece of paper that i ripped about two inches thick and mod podged it on the tin. I then cut out a piece of burlap, a piece of green paper, and red into stacked circles. I cut out the word "joy" with my cricut machine and I glued everything together. Finish it off with a couple of buttons and you're done!
