.:Market Yourself Monday - Bows:.

Last week I showed you the tutu and onesie I made for baby girl number two! I haven't got Reece's tutu or shirt done, but I did make some bows for my girls. I'll also be posting these in my etsy shop as well! I think they turned out pretty cute!

.:Christmas Gift Ideas - Day Five:.

Just wanted to wrap up the week with a couple of ideas of my own, and one from my sister! Nothing fancy, but super simple!

For two of my projects, you'll need to get some vinyl lettering done somewhere. If you have a Cricuit, or know someone who does, that is a great route! I ordered mine from Scribble It.

My first idea is hot cocoa mugs. I picked up two clear glass mugs for cheap at IKEA. I also though solid mugs would look pretty cute, too. I got vinyl printed that said Hot Cocoa. I put the vinyl on the mugs, put some hot cocoa packets and soft peppermints in the mugs, tied a ribbon on, and done!

This next idea I had vinyl cut that said Joy. I picked up charger plates at Michael's. (I love these jeweled ones, but you can find just plain, solid colors, too.) Rub your vinyl on, fill up the plate with goodies and deliver to your friends and neighbors! This is a great way to take goodies to a party so that there is something fun underneath when all the goodies are gone. You could also just display the plate as a holiday decoration.

Another easy idea is a recipe holder. I got the supplies for mine (wood, metal sheet, vinyl) at a local store called Wood Connection. I'm sure you could find or make them on your own as well. I painted them, Modge Podged some scrapbook paper on the metal sheet, made matching magnets with clear glass marbles, and rubbed the vinyl on. Super cute!

Awhile back I did a tutorial on these simple photo blocks. Again, another great personalized gift for grandparents if you put pictures on them. They make a great seasonal gift if you just wanted to Modge Podge scrapbook paper on them to match the seasons, or you could just find paper to match the decor of the house of who you are giving the gift to. The possibilities are endless!

My sister used to be an apartment manager, and she gave these out to some of her residents one year. They are just bottles of sparkling cider with a piece of scrapbook paper, cut with strips about halfway across the paper, taped to the bottle. She also put cute tags at the top. Sooo easy!

Thank you to everyone who submitted ideas, or who let me use your ideas to share with everyone! We'll be back to the regular blogging schedule next week!

.:Christmas Gift Ideas - Day Three:.

Check out these fun ideas!

Kathryn and Melissa over at Nanygoat shared this fun neighbor gift idea: washer ornaments. Again, I think it would be great on a plate of goodies, and such a cute, personalized touch.

I also found this great tutorial at It's So Very Cheri on how to make your own interchangable watch bands. It's a fun gift that can really be tailored to who you are giving it to.

Here is one of the bands I made using this great tutorial!

Tiffany over at Making the World Cuter recently shared her tutorial on how to make these cute tile coasters. How fun to put photos on them for grandparents, or to just really use scrapbook paper to cater to the decor of the person you are giving to!

.:Christmas Gift Ideas - Day Two:.

Today I'm sharing some more great ideas!

Danielle shared this picture of fabric earrings she made. She thought they would go great with Linda's fabric bracelets!

Crystal from Crystal's Craft Spot shared this idea to make a personalized calendar. On the same post is a great idea to make a memory game using family pictures. How fun for kids!

Misty over at The Creative Itch shared a couple of ideas recently that I think would make fabulous gifts!

Her first idea is this Christmas CD holder. I think it is so cute! It would be fun to put together a mix of your favorite Christmas songs. It's also great if you are lucky like me, and have a super talented mom who tapes a Christmas CD of her playing piano and singing almost every year! (You're awesome Mom!)

Another idea that Misty had was this stamped tea light gift set. Super easy to make, and would look great on top of a plate of homemade goodies!

.:Christmas Gift Ideas - Day One:.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted ideas! I'm excited to share what my readers, fellow bloggers, and myself have thought up!

Today I'm going to feature a couple of ideas from Linda over at Craftaholics Annonymous. The first idea I love is this scripture cover. Even if you don't have scriptures to cover, you could cover a notebook to make a personlized journal. Lots of fun ways you could use this! Go here for Linda's tutorial.

Another fun idea Linda had was to make these fabric bracelets. I think they are darling! Here is her tutorial.
This reminds me of the bracelets from Blue Cricket Design.

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to blog swap with Summo's Sweet stuff today. I love her blog and her Etsy shop. She always has the cutest things.

I am Crystal from Crystal's Craft Spot. Its my little spot to share my current craft projects, tutorials, recipes, and ideas I want to use in the future. I started my blog a few months ago because I didn't want to overload our family blog with my new creations. I try to post something new almost everyday and I enjoy a variety of crafts. It is my way to relax and take a break from a busy day. Here's a little more about me:

  • I've been married for over 5 years to the greatest guy ever.
  • I am a stay at home mom of two adorable little girls (4 and 1). They keep me very busy. When they are awake we spend our time playing, learning, making messes, and occasionally cleaning.
  • I teach my daughter preschool at home and we post our fun activities and crafts on our family blog along with our daily happenings. (The Harris family-this is the name that shows up when I leave comments). Feel free to check it out-the labels on the side will help you quickly find our activities.
  • I love to read-mostly fiction and yes I love Twilight
  • I don't watch much TV except for LOST-I am addicted. I do love movies!
  • I also love sweet-tarts, Reese's and Sprite (all necessities while I craft) okay and any other sweet treats we have in the house.
  • I love Blogs! I love looking at others for crafty inspiration, I love staying in touch with old friends and making new friends
Here are some of my favorite projects you will find on my blog:

.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Pumpkin Cookies:.

I got this recipe from my friend Katy, and it is delicious! She made them for our Halloween playgroup, and I was hooked. I love most things pumpkin, but I especially love easy pumpkin recipes!

What you need:

- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 small can of pure pumpkin
- 1 bag of chocolate chips

Mix together your cake mix and pumpkin.

Stir in your chocolate chips.
Spoon it on to your cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 16-20 minutes. My oven was around 16-17 minutes.

Eat!

Easy, huh? They are so yummy and moist! Yum!
