.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Sugar Cookies:.

This has been a classic recipe in our family for years! I've never tasted another sugar cookie that tastes better!

3 c flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 c sugar
1 c soft margarine
1 egg
3 T milk
1 t vanilla

Mix flour, powder, salt, and sugar.

Cut margarine in little pieces and add.

Add milk, vanilla, and egg.

Blend - I started out with my mixer, but then used my hands for the rest! You'll have to use your hands!

Roll out and cut.

Bake at 400 for 5 minutes.

Don't they look delicious? (They were.)

  1. Those look so good! I have been looking for a good recipe that calls for baking powder instead of cream of tartar...last time I wanted to make sugar cookies, I didn't have cream of tartar.

  2. Okay....i LOVE sugar cookies....and i have yet to find the right recipe! I think i'll have to give these a try...do you chill the dough at all?? If you don't, can you still use cookie cutters okay or is the dough too sticky?
