.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Peanut Butter Bars:.

This recipe is my sister's, and it is divine!

1 c butter
1 c brown sugar
1 c peanut butter
1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2/3 t baking soda
2/3 t salt
2 t vanilla
1 1/2 c oats
1 1/2 c flour

Mix and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. We usually bake them on a cookie sheet.

If you want, you can spread a layer of peanut butter on while they are still warm.

For the frosting, bring to a boil:
1 1/3 c sugar
6 T milk
6 T butter

Then add:
1 c chocolate chips
1 t vanilla
dash of salt

Let it cool a little bit before pouring it over the bars.

And enjoy! They are delicious.

I'm pretty sure these babies are going to have me in trouble with my doctor at my checkup on Friday!

It was worth it.

  1. I am so rofl! At work on Sunday night one of the other girls and I were craving these, so she brought them last night when we both worked again. See, great minds really do think alike!
