.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Raspberry Slush and Chocolate Cake:.

So, a big thank you to Becca over at Nap Time Journal! I was looking at her cute Valentine's idea that she did for her husband and requested these recipes to try on my husband this year. She was so nice and posted them right away! Don't they look delicious??? I can't wait to give them a try!

These directions are directly from Becca's blog. Thanks Becca! (You should all go check out her blog if you haven't already. She's pretty awesome!)

Raspberry Slush : Sprite and rasperry sherbet
**put both in a blender and mix it up. You can add more sherbet if you want it thicker, or add more sprite if you want it thinner. Simple and easy.

Raspberry Chocolate Cake: one devils food cake mix or chocolate cake mix, one small jar of raspberry jam/perserves from the peanut butter aisle at the grocery store, chocolate frosting and sprinkles
**Cook cake according to box (I cooked two 8" round cakes), let them cool completely. When cooled, place one cake on your pan, poke wholes into the cake so the jam will soke into the cake. Put a good amount of jam in the middle and all the way to the edge. Then lay the other cake round on top and frost the whole cake with your frosting. Then decorate.

She also gives great instructions on how to bake and frost a layered cake here.

  1. Oh my! THANK YOU for featuring me :) And yes, I am craving both of these.....I may have to make them for me this year :) Thanks again!!

  2. The slush sounds yummy...but I think I NEED that chocolate cake!!
