.:Feature Friday - Chocolate Sundaes:.

I'm really excited to be blog swapping with Jamielyn from Chocolate Sundaes today! She is so incredibly talented!

Hey! I'm Jamielyn from I heart naptime w/ chocolate sundaes!

I’m so excited to be Sumo’s guest blogger today. She has so many SUPER cute ideas! I often find myself thinking as I look through so many cute craft blogs, “Dang that girl has talent!” ….and yup Sumo’s Sweet stuff is definitely one of those blogs!

Well let me introduce myself. I was born and raised in the lovely sunshine state ARIZONA! I was born on leap year; I love chocolate, Mexican food, anything crafty, baking, and snuggling with my 2 favorite boys, Grey’s Anatomy, and the smell of a fresh coat of paint.

I have to say I have the 2 best jobs in the world…being a mother to the cutest chunky monkey and being a hair stylist. I absolutely love styling hair…especially when I get to design a fun up-do!

I started my blog about 5 months ago, because honestly my family blog seemed to be overloaded with fun projects I had completed, or a yummy treat I baked that day. . I have loved having this craft blog because it keeps me on my creative toes. AND lets face it..."I heart naptime!" That is the only part of my day I have for fun crafty projects...which you all know we love!

I hope you all come check out my blog Chocolate Sundaes where you can find:

yummy recipes
fun holiday inspiration
Modpodged Ribbon Holder - you won't believe the before shots...
and Birthday Party ideas

Speaking of Birthdays...I'm going to share a Birthday display I made for my son's first birthday!

This was one of those projects I came up with at about 10 at night...you know what I'm talking about! So since it was late, and the craft store was closed I decided to search my house up an down for all the supplies I needed.
Luckily i found a board that I was "planning" on using for another project... This is a 4 ft board.
Then I found some fabric that was left over from my baby bedding and that I also used here. I highly suggest using uphoulstry fabric when doing this project. If you don't have cute fabric you could just paint the board as well.
I got out my staple gun, pulled the fabric really tight and stapled away! Then I wrapped the corners like a present.
Next, I found some wooden dowels left over from this project. Then I grabbed the drill and found the exact same size drill bit and measured accordingly. If I were to do this project again I might get a little longer board...but it turned out fine. I also cut the dowels to different lengths to give it a little more funky look. After you drill the holes twist the dowels into the board.
Then I made little signs with the paper I had, and added a little distressed ink(my fav)!
It was finally time to clip on all the cute pictures of my little boy! It's crazy how fast he grew...but he sure is a cutie!
Next add a little frill to go along with your theme...

AND you got yourself a nice looking centerpiece!

Thanks Sumo for having me today, it was super fun! I'd love for you to come on by Chocolate Sundaes and say hello. Happy Friday!
