.:Guest Blogger - Cher @ Love Actually:.

I am delighted to be posting on Sumo's Sweet Stuff while Summer is on maternity leave!

Today, I'd like to introduce you to my blog, Love Actually, which has all sorts of creative date and romance ideas on a budget...which everyone can appreciate these days! You'll also find a variety of fabulous giveaways, downloadable freebies and customized digital kits for a great price! Come on over!

Today, I thought I'd share a couple of fun things to do with your newspaper to put a little romance into your marriage! These are EASY ideas...so no excuses, ladies! Now's a perfect time to romance your man!

*Feature your spouse on the front page. I created a "Husband of the Year" theme and wrote an "article" about how wonderful he was using tid-bits that I may not tell him very often. It was a sneaky way to express my appreciation!

Yup, that's my hubby. Isn't he handsome? He really does deserve this award. :)

Create a Classified Ad
- a fake one, of course. Type up, print out, and glue into your classifieds section. There are several options:

1. Help Wanted Ad - (shown above) This is a creative way to ask your handyman to help around the house without nagging...you get some things done that have been waiting, and he gets a massage (or any other "currency" you choose to compensate him with). Win-Win!

2. Personals Ad - woman seeking man.....(you can get creative with this one)

3. Job Needed - "gorgeous woman looking for a temporary personal assistant position. experience/skills: experienced masseuse, excellent personal chef, etc. (insert your skills here)."
Hopefully, your spouse will get that you are offering to be HIS personal assistant for night/day/whatever.

So, these type of things are all about the wording--so get creative, look at real classified ads and design an ad that your husband (OR WIFE...I know it's mainly women who follow this site, but I certainly am not discriminating the men. In fact, I encourage them to visit!)...anyway, hopefully THEY will get a kick out of any ad or article you put in the classifieds.

Okay---that's all I've got to say about that. BUT, I've got plenty more fun ideas over on Love Actually.

Thanks Cher! Wasn't that great?

Now, on to Market Yourself Monday. Link up your latest and greatest! Please remember to only link to your specific post. Feel free to link up giveaways, too! I'm going to attempt to do Showcase Saturday this week - but don't hold me to it! :)

A lot of you have mentioned you've had difficulties getting my Market Yourself Monday button to work. I'm not sure why, but I'm not going to put it here in the post. Just grab it off of my sidebar to link back to here! They both work for me when I try them, so I'm clueless as to why they don't work some of the time! Sorry!

  1. I don't know if it was just me, but I couldn't get my links to show up on the linky. I did everything I was supposed to, but it didn't appear. So I tried to enter it again, then I got some weird spam page, something about being blocked? :(

  5. Hi..Barb from santasgiftshoppe..I love to come to your link party every Monday..but today was terrible trying to get Linky to do what it was suppose to. I tried 3 times & was getting so frustrated I was not going to participate..finally it went thru. Also not being able to see the Full name of everybody's stuff is a turn off. I know Brent is trying new things but I am very dissappointed so far. I could not even get to "my List" today to have my own Link Party. I don't mean to take this out on you but feedback is a good tool..I will give Brent my feedback on his new idea..anyway thanks for a great party as usual..Have a great day!!
