.:Guest Blogger - Sandy @ Golf Gal:.

Hi, it's Sandy, alias GolfGal! I'm guest posting this week on .:Sumo's Sweet Stuff:.
I love to play tennis and golf, and I also love photography, blogging and changing up the HTML and... home improvement projects, gardening, sewing and crafting!

So many of you out there have inspired me creatively lately so I wanted to share an easy project with you! I found this plate while out shopping and decided to redecorate my lake house bathroom in a nautical theme.

I needed to make curtains for the window and found this great block print fabric with sailboats and lighthouses. If you use the rods with drapery clips that are for sale in the stores you basically have to sew a rectangle, attach the clips and hang it! First, measure the length of your window, use the entire width of your fabric per side, with 4.5 inches added for a top seam and the hem and sew a lining fabric the same measurement right sides together leaving the bottom open. Turn right sides out, fold up the hem, iron and stitch.
Ready to hang, what could be easier?!

The block pattern gave me the idea to buy a little extra fabric and a plain muslin shower curtain, cut the blocks of the print out and use iron on fusible webbing to bond the fabric to the curtain. Voila... a custom look for little money and so easy!

So then I found a few more cute items to go with my colors and theme and added them above the linen closet for fun!

Doesn't it feel good to update a room?!

There are so many great designer fabrics out there to do this with. You can get a completely custom look that only you will have, for so little money!
