These are super easy to make, and such a fun gift idea!
What you need:
- cloth diapers (wash them BEFORE you sew anything to them!)
- fabric
- sewing machine/accssories
I measured the section in the middle to see how big I needed to cut my fabric. I did half an inch extra on both measurements to allow for seams. I think mine were about 5x16 or so.
Cut your fabric. I was doing two of each kind of fabric, so I used my fold to cut, and then cut again at the fold.
Next iron down your seams and then pin the fabric to the burp cloth.
Sew around the edges.
Done!
You can really get creative with these. I got some that had just two pieces of ribbon sewn down, which was really cute. I had originally planned to do the ric rac by itself, but I think it looks pretty cute with the fabric.
I can't wait to make more!
