I have 3 boys, so some of the projects I share on my blog are geared towards boys. However, I really needed a play kitchen from a nightstand, so with my husband's help, we built this:
I really like the dollar store, and I never spend just a dollar there- always a whole lot more. But I get lots of ideas from browsing the dollar store. I did a week of place mat crafts and even made a quiet book from place mats for my boys.
I had to make tool belts from place mats too because a boy needs a way to carry his tools. :)
Speaking of carrying toys around, last summer, I came up with a car cozy. Now I'm sure you have seen these everywhere in craft-blog land by now. :) I had just had a baby and I searched for a tute, and after not finding one anywhere made up a simple pattern for one.... -so it took me a while to post the car cozy/cozie tutorial after I came up with it....and little did I know it would be a big hit. It is the perfect way for boys to carry their cars!
Since Halloween is coming (my favorite) and since I teach preschool, I love a cute kids craft! Last year we made some fun ones. Two of our favorites from last year were silly little bats and some pipecleaner pumpkins.
And Halloween is all about treats...and there are fabulous treats in my archives for Halloween. My favorite one is for Homemade Snicker Bars.
Christmas is coming so here is a favorite Christmas tute from last year- burlap word ornaments. (just looking at a Christmas photo....makes me want Christmas right now ;))
I love sharing ideas through blogging! Thanks to Summer for allowing me to share a little here. I love all her fun ideas and things to try! So fun! I hope you'll stop by and say Hi at My Little Gems.
Have a great weekend!
