.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - Chocolate Chip Dip:.

I just discovered this new blog, Confessions of a Cookbook Queen. Let me tell you, she's got TONS of delicious looking things that I can't wait to try!

This chocolate chip dip is the first of her recipes that I tackled. (I fully intend to try more!) It was scrumptious!

Here's what you need:

1/2 c butter, softened
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
1/2 c mini chocolate chips
1 c powdered sugar
3 T brown sugar
1/4 t vanilla
toppings of your choice

Beat your cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until it is nice and fluffy.

Then mix in your sugars.

Now you want to stir in your mini chips.

At this point, put your dip in the fridge to harden up. After about an hour, it's ready to be taken out. You can mold it into a rounded shape on a plate (or whatever shape you want to really!) and put your topping on it. Some of her suggestions were mini M&M's, crushed Oreos, nuts. I just used some more mini chocolate chips. Serve with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or whatever else you deem chocolate chip dip worthy!

Okay, so my dip didn't firm up very well for some reason, so my picture isn't very pretty. But let me tell you. It was tasty!

  1. Mmmmmm... Yum! I recently made a PB & Chocolate Chip "Cheese" ball that someone linked up to one of the link parties and it was really good. I've got my photo and the link to the recipe in this post (http://thespeckleddog.blogspot.com/2010/08/appetizer-recipe-swap-foodie-friday.html).
