.:Silhouette Tutorial - Tattoo Paper:.

Have you entered the Silhouette giveaway yet? You'll want to if you haven't - it's worth $50!

I got to test out this fun temporary tattoo paper from Silhouette.

Last week, a couple of friends and I threw a little Halloween playgroup. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to put this tattoo paper to work!

It was our second annual Monster Bash, and I figured all the kids might like a little tattoo to celebrate the day!

Here's what you need:

- Silhouette tattoo paper
- scissors
- pan scraper (or something to use for rubbing)
- computer and printer

I searched around online and found a cute - and free - monster graphic.

Then I had my awesome sister in law make a little graphic that said Monster Bash 2010 on it. You'll want to reverse your image before printing it! I did a test print on a regular piece of paper first.

Put your white tattoo paper in the printer so that it will print onto it.

Take your green paper, and remove the green backing as you press the sticky side on to your graphic.

Use your pan scraper to rub it on really well!

Cut out your tattoos.

Peel off the clear paper.

Press the tattoo face down where you'd like it to be.

(I just love that sweet little face looking up at me!)

Hold a wet washcloth over it for about 20-30 seconds. The paper should come off easily if the tattoo has set on the skin.

Show off your new, one of a kind, awesome tattoo!

Easy! Fun! Perfect for kids!

My friends all thought it was pretty fun for the kids, and I know of one friend who is probably going to buy some on her own (unless she decides to take her chances on the giveaway!) and make some tattoos for her family Christmas party. What a great idea!

What would you make with this tattoo paper?

  3. I love this idea! We have a mom's group, how fun would it be to make cute little tattoo's for the kid's faces for a Zoo trip this spring, make it much easier to find the new members when they show up.
