.:Tutorial Tuesday - Christmas Card Display:.

Go here for the Black Giraffe giveaway.

Season Three of Win, Lose or Blog is going to start after the new year. Go here to apply to be a contestant!

Head on over to Mine for the Making to hear about the 12 Days of Holiday Giveaways.

Okay, really, it's kind of silly for me to do a tutorial for this.

But just humor me, alright?

As I said yesterday, I saw this idea in Martha Stewart's magazine. Super easy, but I just love the end result! And also, cheap!

Here's what you need:

- clothespins
- embroidery hoop
- spray paint
- ribbon
- hot glue/gun

Start off by spray painting your hoop and clothespins. (My clothespins were already painted and blinged out before I did this project!)

Once your hoop and clothespins are dry, lay out your clothespins where you want them to be glued down on the hoop. Account for where you will be tying your bow at the top (or bottom if you like!)

Hot glue the clothespins on.

Tie a nice bow on to the hoop. (Guess I did this after I put the tags on - oops!)

Clip in your Christmas cards (or Christmas tags, since I don't have cards to display yet!)

and hang it up for all to admire!

See, easy right? It didn't take long, but now I've got a fun, new decoration that is cute and functional! Perfect!

  1. Great tutorial! Thanks. I have a thrift store near by with tons of embroidery hoops. Gotta go now before they are all gone.

  4. I created one of these too! I still have plans to spray paint mine red, but it is already filling up with Christmas cards. Such an easy project, but it looks great and serves a purpose too! I love the color you chose for yours. Merry Christmas!
