I'm seriously in love with how this turned out. It's exactly what I envisioned in my head, and I love it when projects turn out that way!
Here's what you need:
- stir sticks (.28 each at Wal-Mart)
- paint samples (free! okay, I took a lot, but I frequent Wal-Mart often enough that I feel okay about it) I got a bunch in whites and grays for a wintery feel
- spray paint (not pictured)
- vinyl and cutting machine (used my trusty Silhouette!)
- hot glue/gun
- wood oval (this was a late addition, so there's no pic of it before - about $1 at Wal-Mart)
Start off spray painting your stir sticks. If you want. It definitely wasn't necessary, but I did it just in case any little spots peeked through. Also, spray paint your wood oval for the center of your snowflake.
Trace circles on the back of your paint samples.
Cut them out.
Hot glue your stir sticks together in the shape of a snowflake.
Lay out your circles how you'd like them to be on your snowflake.
Hot glue them down. (Excuse the bad picture; I took it at nite!)
Cut out your vinyl using your wonderful Silhouette. The font is Dreamed About You from kevin & amanda.

Rub it on your wood oval.
Hot glue your oval to your snowflake.
Glue some ribbon on the back, hang it on your door, and admire!
Isn't she pretty?
