.:Feature Friday - Atelier Caroline:.

Come tell me where you're reading from!

Hello and happy friday!

My name is Caroline and I'm visiting from

Crafting is my therapy to stay happy in my very busy life: juggling family, marriage, household and work is a complicated balancing act. . It takes a bit of organization to save "Me" time. And "Me" time is dedicated to creating and blogging. You can find out more about me here.

I mostly sew:

And craft

But i recently "fell into" jewelry making

I'm so thriled to be back visiting Sumo and her sweet readers for a new project

How to turn a $1 mirror into a feminine shabby-chic boudoir accessory

(yes it is from Ikea and I bought it for $1 at the goodwill store)

First I gathered a few of my favorite items:

Fabric flowers, pretty buttons, lace and beads (thank you Amie!)

I hot-glued a few beads on the lace

Then I modge-podged the lace on the mirror frame and hot glued the fabric flower and button

For the last touch I stitched an aqua blue ribbon to the back of some scalloped lace

Attached it to the back with hot glue

Lastly, I made another matching fabric flower and distressed the edges with a bit of sandpaper

for the final result:

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and hoping you will swing by and visit sometime.
