.:Tutorial Tuesday - Silhouette Name Art:.

This was a super easy project, and I love how it turned out. It could also be a great way to use up some fabric scraps if you were trying to stash bust!

I wanted to do this name decoration to match my living room. If you know me, you know that I am boring when it comes to decorating. I like black. I like cream or white. And thus ends up most of my decorating. There's some green added in among the decorations, but I just like a classic look a lot of the time.

Here's what you need:

- frame
- large piece of plain cotton fabric
- small pieces of fabric in coordinating prints
- Silhouette fabric interfacing - clean cut
- iron

I started off by ironing on the fabric interfacing to my fabric pieces. I had cut them how wide and long I wanted them to be to fit into my 11x14 frame. You can figure that out by your frame, and by how many names you are putting in your frame.

Next I cut out each of our names, as well as our last name, doing each in a different font.

Cut your large piece of fabric slightly bigger than the backing to your frame.

Lay out the names where you want them to be on your piece of large fabric. (Sorry for the fuzzy picture; I don't know what happened!)

Iron them down.

Stick the fabric in your frame, tucking the edges around the frame backing.

Admire your simple and quick project.

Hang it up for all to admire.

See, told ya it was easy.

Are you still thinking you need to get your hands on a Silhouette? Today is the last day of the promotion!
