.:Happy Mother's Day:.

Today is Mother's Day, and I am so grateful for all of the amazing women in my life.

Let's chat about this good looking couple first.

These are my fabulous parents. I was so fortunate to be raised by parents who supported each other's roles as father and mother. My dad is a true example of how a husband should support his wife. He has always worked hard so that my mom was able to be present for us growing up. She was in our classrooms, at our schools, driving our car pools, talking about our days with us - really, just there in every sense of the word. And my mom is just everything: mother, confidant, friend, and someone I can look up to. Watching her foster her relationships with each of us, and providing each of us what we needed has shown me how I want to be for my children as they are growing up. I don't know that there are better parents out there!

Not only do I have amazing parents, I have amazing siblings. Some of whom have amazing wives. I've learned so much from my sisters and sister in laws about being a woman; not just a mother, but all of the different roles that we women have. We are all best friends, and I feel so fortunate to have a family that enjoys spending time together and makes special efforts to be together as often as we can. Not always easy when we're all spread out and living in different states and cities!

(Don't mind the outdated picture. Trust me, I am pregnant in this picture; I didn't just eat too many Oreos.)

I'd be remiss not to mention all of my fabulous friends. I've got friends from long ago, and friends that I met just a few years ago, and each of them has impacted the way that I am as a mother, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a woman. It's so interesting how paths cross and you see why you were meant to be in that place at that time. My life has been forever changed by some of the smallest and biggest decisions that led to me to these women, and I couldn't be more grateful.

And to bring it a little bit closer to home, my own little family. My husband has given me a beautiful life with beautiful children. I love watching them learn and grow each day. It's hard for me to remember what my life was like just two and a half years ago before I was a mother. My life has been so enriched and fulfilled with the addition of these two little ladies. I'm grateful for our forever family, for a loving husband who supports me and our family, for two sets of arms that are always willing to give me a hug, slobbery kisses, and for all of the opportunities I have to learn from them.

Happy Mother's Day to ALL the women out there!
