Are you ready for what might be the easiest, least need for a tutorial project ever on Sumo's Sweet Stuff?
This was actually my friend's idea. We were browsing around at a boutique, and saw one of these for sale, but with flowers attached permanently to the door hanger. She figured this might be a better idea, and you know what? I think she's right!
What you need:
- door hanger (Is this the right term for it? Doesn't really hang a door...)
- hot glue/gun
- flowers, felt, etc.
I started off with these wood cutouts I found at Wally World. I bet you can't guess how I did this next part, so read very carefully. I took a magnet, put hot glue on it, and stuck it to the back.
I know you're impressed.
For the flowers, I popped them off the stems and repeated the above process.
I know you are in awe over my skills so far. I'm probably blowing your mind.
In case you don't know how to make these little felt roll ups, you need to start by cutting a large circle, and then cutting a spiral until you get to the middle.
Roll it up, hot gluing it along the way, and, wait for it.....glue a magnet on the back!
Let's see these babies in action.
Here's what I've currently got on my door.
It also looks nice with the wood cutouts.
These rolled felt flowers look great with my burlap wreath, right?
I have all sorts of fun cut outs from my seasonal wood board, so I tried them out with my Christmas wreath,
and my Valentine's door hang.
So many options!
Don't you want to go make a bunch now?
