.:Mom Aboard:.

A week or so ago, I got invited by the lovely Tauni, to participate in a Mom Aboard event put on by the UTA to celebrate the opening of a new Trax line that will run from Gardner Village to Daybreak!

A fun train ride with other fun bloggers?

Sign me up!

I'm always looking for fun things to do with my girls in the summer, so this was the perfect little activity to spend our morning.

When we first got there, each kid got a little goodie bag. Inside were train whistles and conductor hats, along with some taffy. Pretty sweet, right?

We listened to some safety tips from Tauni before we were all ready to board. My girls had a fabulous time, watching out the window and munching on their taffy. My two year old loved to point out what she was seeing out the window. And as most moms know, it can get tiring sometimes having to have those conversations while you're trying to concentrate on driving. It was nice to just be able to relax and look for things with her.

It was a morning well spent, and I'm glad we got the opportunity to participate in this fun event!

And guess what? I've even got something for one of you!

I've got one pass for four people to ride round trip on any of the main transit lines - TRAX to Frontrunner - for the month of August.

Leave a comment telling me where you would go with the pass to enter.

I'll choose a winner on Friday and get it in the mail this weekend!

  1. I would use it to go to the Twilight Concert series downtown. I'd also probably try to brave commuting to work on it a few times.

  2. I would totally take Frontrunner/trax to visit lots of sights along the way from Ogden to South Salt Lake. Visit Gardner Village, Living Planet Aquarium, link up to get to Hogle Zoo. Have some lunch at Gateway and catch a little shopping in Farmington on the way home.
I can hardly wait until this line is finished all the way to Provo... my world will expand. Yes.

  5. I would take the family all the way north and then we'd ride it all the way south as far as it goes!
