Hi I'm Amy from Nap Time Crafters!
I LOVE every kind of craft, but if I had to pick a fav it would definitely be sewing for my little girl (be sure to check out my Pattern Shop). I also love decorating my apartment with very budget friendly projects. Nap Time Crafters is home to 100 free Tutorials {and growing!}, the American Crafter Competition, Friday Favs Party, & a Giveaway every Saturday!
Today I have one of my very favorite Christmas crafts to share with you!
These cheery root deer are a unique and fun gift for neighbors and friends. Your kids can even help make them!
Materials (I found everything at Wal-mart):
- Old fashioned root beer
- Brown pipe cleaners- 2/root deer
- Googely eyes
- Red pom-poms
- Ribbon
- Hot glue gun
1. Twist 1 pipe cleaner around the top of the bottle
2. Cut a second pipe cleaner into small segments and add to the antlers
3. Hot glue on 2 eyes, a nose, and a bow- hair bows for the ladies and bow ties for the gents
Rudolph with your nose so bright...
Have fun making these! We did this every year when I was little and I still LOVE it! I wish I knew who came up with this idea, but it's been 15 years since my family started doing this and I have no clue where the idea came from. If it was you let me know:)
Thanks for having me!
