.:Feature Friday - Pocket Moxie:.

Go here for the CSN Stores giveaway.

I'm excited to share today's feature with you. I know firsthand how helpful online forums can be. When we lost our two pregnancies before our oldest was born, it was a difficult time for me and I didn't really know anyone in real life who had ever experienced what I was going through. I met a wonderful group of ladies in an online forum, and almost four years later, we still all 'talk' online and keep each other updated on our lives. We've seen each other through the heartbreaks of losing pregnancies and infertility to the joys of pregnancy and having babies. Online friendships can be so powerful!

Pocket Moxie is a 100% cost-free, ad-free, and drama-free support and discussion forum exclusively for women. Our members are mothers, mothers-to-be, and child-free, students, SAHMs, and career women, photographers, crafters, avid readers, sports fanatics, fashionistas, bloggers, home decorators, and so much more.

If you're looking to get in with an active group of girlfriends, Pocket Moxie ladies are amazing! Our members have supported one another through deployments, pregnancies and births, illness and wellness, break-ups and divorces, engagements and marriages, job loss, job search, the dating scene, and fitness and weight loss. In fact, so many of our members have lost notable weight or become physically fit that our Health and Fitness area is a source of inspiration for other members and one of our most popular forums.

Pocket Moxie members have the option to participate in regular Secret Sister match-ups and cute gift and recipe exchanges, plus ornament and card exchanges during the holidays. In addition we're known to have impromptu photography or fitness challenges to keep you on your toes. Our Book Worm Babes is an active book club in which members make reading goals and encourage each other to meet them. There are many surprises on Pocket Moxie for members who are seriously looking to make friends with awesome women from all over the country and sometimes sprinkled about the globe. Come on over and register! We look forward to meeting you!

.:Things to Try Thursday - Homemade Fruit Leather:.

Go here for the CSN Stores giveaway.

As I've mentioned before, I'm trying to get us eating more healthily at our house these days.

My two year old loves fruit snacks and the likes. Perhaps slightly healthier than candy, but really, they aren't all that great!

So how about making some homemade fruit leather?

Food Your Way shows us how!

I can't wait to try this out!

.:Giveaway - CSN Stores - CLOSED:.

It's no secret that we love CSN Stores around here.

They basically have everything and anything that you could ever need.

Spring is just around the corner. Need a new swing set? (I wish we had a house with a yard; Reece would live on the swing set all spring and summer long!)

Our bedroom needs to be re-done in the worst way. Maybe a new comforter set?

Would you believe that I don't own a waffle maker?

I'm going to be flying alone with my two kids soon; I've been thinking how much I wished I had a backpack diaper bag to make it easier!

I've been lucky enough to do not one, not two, but three reviews for CSN Stores. Well, this time, one of YOU is going to get to get something form CSN Stores!

How about a $50 credit to spend at any of their 200 stores?

I thought you might like that.

We'll keep this simple!

Just leave me a comment, telling me what you'd spend the $50 on/towards from CSN Stores.

That's it!

Easy, right?

I've got something else to share with you. CSN Stores recently launched a new site: Joss & Main. It's a private sale site, offering exclusive deals for up to 70% off the top brands and designers for the home! All sales last 72 hours, and new sales are being launched daily!

Here's what I'm considering buying from Joss & Main right now.

Stylish and functional - perfect!

Head on over to Joss & Main to sign up!

Leave me a comment telling me what you would spend $50 on at CSN Stores to be entered into the giveaway!

This giveaway will run through Wednesday, February 2nd, at 11:59 p.m. Winner will be announced on Thursday, February 3rd.

It will be YOUR responsibility to check back and see if you have won!

.:Angela Swain Photography Giveaway Winner:.

Ack! I was supposed to post the winner of the Angela Swain Photography giveaway yesterday!

My apologies! Between starting up on Twitter (I'm still trying to figure it out!) and two sick little girls, the day got away from me.

So, a day late, here is the winner of the photo shoot and edited images:

Congrats! Please email me at sumossweetstuff@gmail.com to claim your prize!

Thanks to everyone who entered!

.:Mouth-Watering Wednesday - White Corn Chili:.

My friend shared this recipe with us, and it is a fave in our house! I'm not a huge soup or chili person in general, but I LOVE this!

6 15 oz. cans Great White Northern Beans
6 c cooked, diced/shredded chicken
2 t Cumin
5 c chicken broth
2 medium onions - diced (we leave these out)
2 4 oz. cans chopped green chilis
1 1/2 t oregano
1/2 t red or Cayenne pepper
1/2 t pepper
24 oz. tub sour cream
1 can white corn

Boil onions in broth for 15 minutes. (We obviously skipped this step since we aren't onion people!)

Add all ingredients except sour cream.

Simmer for one hour.

Fold in sour cream.

** Our alterations to this recipe is that we don't add onions, as I've mentioned. We also don't fold in the sour cream. I don't like sour cream. So for my husband and daughter, we just mix it into their bowl of soup. We also cut up some cilantro and topped our soup with that, and it was delicious!

This recipe makes a TON, so you could easily halve it if you didn't want tons of leftovers!

.:Tutorial Tuesday - Subway Art Sewing Machine:.

Okay, so yesterday I showed you Shirley's makeover, using my Silhouette.

Silhouette Electronic Cutting Tool

This tutorial is probably pretty basic and boring for most of you, but bear with me. I'm pretty new to this vinyl thing, so maybe there are some of you out there like me!

What you need:

- vinyl
- transfer paper
- something to rub your vinyl on with - I use my pampered chef pan scrapers

Start off, using your trusty Silhouette software, to type out the words you want to use. Use various fonts and sizes. I also added a few little designs.

One thing I love about my Silhouette, is that when using vinyl, I can just insert it directly into the machine. No need for a cutting mat! I love saving time anywhere I can! Cut your vinyl. I did two different colors using the same designs/words.

Once my vinyl was cut, I cut it up into smaller pieces to remove the negative space. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes when peeling up the negative space, my letters want to go with it, so I find it easier to do it in smaller pieces.

Once I'd done that, I arranged my smaller pieces back together, and peeled off the sticky part of the transfer paper, and pressed it onto my vinyl. I use my pan scraper to really make sure it's on there good.

Then I once again cut my words individually, and started figuring out where I wanted them on my sewing machine. Take the transfer paper off; your vinyl should be stuck to it. Place it where you want, and rub it on there good. Again, I used my pan scraper.

This is halfway through. Keep on truckin'!

And all done!

Isn't she fabulous?

.:Market Yourself Monday - Subway Art Sewing Machine:.

Go here to enter the Angela Swain Photography giveaway!

This project was totally inspired by Shelley, at House of Smiths. (I assume you are all already following her, but in case you aren't, do it. Seriously. Do it.)

She put subway art on her Kitchenaid, as well as some other fun designs. I loved it when I saw it a few months ago, and I still love it.

I figured since I don't have a Kitchenaid (yes, I know it's sad) that I had better figure something else out to vinylize. (I'm not sure if that's a word; it's underlined in red as a misspelled word, so maybe I just made it up. Now it's my word.)

I'm pretty much in love with Shirley and her new look. Don't you just want to go sew something, looking at that?

Tutorial coming tomorrow! I'm using new newest love, my Silhouette, to show you how!

Now it's time for you to share what you've been up to lately! Open linky party here - use it to Market Yourself! Pretty please link back here, though. It's nice.
