Are you ready for a fun, holiday gift idea? It’s perfect to give to someone to enjoy on the upcoming cold, winter nights when you just want to stay home and get cozy.
I had the opportunity to work with some Martha Stewart Paints and stencils, and I might be a little bit in love with them! I’ve already got a few other projects lined up to do with them!
Can you believe all of these goodies I received? Lucky me!
For this project, I used the silkscreen stencils, silver glass paint, and dauber set.
I started off by cutting the silkscreen dotted circle and letter ‘A’.
The silkscreens are awesome! All I did was peel it away from the backing and smooth it on to my bucket.
Then I used the dauber brush and silver glass paint to apply the paint. I kind of dabbed on this one, and wish I would have just brushed it on smoother. I used the dauber brushes since I was working on curved surfaces.
All the way around!
Then peel it off while the paint is still wet. Set the bucket aside to dry and rinse off the silkscreen. You don’t want the paint to dry on it!
While that is drying, it’s time to get started on the mugs. Again, smooth the monogram silkscreen on to the mug. This is a bit more curved than the bucket, so it might take a little finessing.
Smooth on the paint.
Again, peel it off carefully, rinse it off, dry it, and repeat on the other mug.
Looking good!
The circle on the bucket should be dry now, so it’s time to add the monogram there using the same process.
Once all of your paint is dry, you can load up your bucket with whatever extras you like to create the perfect gift! I decided to include a blanket, box of hot chocolate, peppermint marshmallows, and peppermint M&M’s.
Hrmm…do I really want to give this away?
It would be fun to include a Christmas movie, or a gift card for a rental somewhere. Perfect for cozying up!
