Sometimes us ladies get so caught up in taking care of others – whether it be children, spouses, family members, or as a job – that we often fail to remember to take care of ourselves. A lot of the time, that becomes a bit lower on the priority list when you are needed by others. I’ve heard the common joke that ‘moms don’t get sick days’, which I’m sure could apply in many other situations.
And it’s true!
I can count numerous times where I wanted nothing more than to curl up on the couch with my book and the remote but wasn’t able to because children have to be fed, dressed, changed, and entertained!
Well, University of Utah Healthcare is sponsoring a Girl’s Night Out for Health and Well-Being, geared to help women move towards healthier living. It is going to be held at the newer South Jordan Health Center this coming Thursday, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. for all of my local ladies.
Did you take a look at everything that is being offered? Anti-aging demonstrations, free vision screenings, chair massages, and food….just to name a few things. Sign me up! And did you catch that it is FREE??
You’ll also get a chance to hear from one of the local news anchors – Mary Nickles, as well.
If you want to learn more about this event, or if you’re ready to RSVP right now, visit girlsnightout.uofuhealth.org.
I’m going to be there, so I hope I’ll see some of you there. Come say hi, and we can grab a massage together!
