As much as I like to create and DIY just about anything I can get my hands on, my true passion is designing pretty and useful printables. A lot of people have seen my Notes for the Babysitter template floating around Pinterest but there are so many more for you to peruse. While I'm not a mom (yet!), I do have a ton of experience with kids. I was full-time nanny and preschool teacher for a little over 5 years (before I entered corporate America) and now find myself with a ton of cute kiddie ideas that I can't use anymore. Today I'm sharing a little something that pairs some of their favorite stories with words of love and motivation from you.
Simply print the image out on a normal sheet of paper and cut out around each note. You'll have eight different notes with a variety of motivational, inspirational, and encouraging words for your favorite little boy or girl. While this version is multicolored, I also put together a blue option as well as a pink option.
Once cut out, you can paperclip the note directly to their brown paper lunch bag:
(Penelope is the name we have chosen for our future daughter so please don't tell me you hate it!)
Or maybe, slip it inside with their meal and let it be a little surprise at lunchtime from you to them:

She started Spool and Spoon in 2012 to document her creative endeavors and to counterbalance her stressful day job as a corporate recruiter. Jess is a DIY girl through and through; she'd prefer a good stand mixer and sewing machine to glitzy makeup any day (but jewelry and bags are a whole other story!). Throughout any given week, you can find a mash up of printables, tutorials, and recipes on her blog. Check it out!
