With three little girls, it’s not often that I make things for myself. And if we’re being super honest here, I actually ended up making some of these for them, too. BUT, I did start this project with the intent to make something for me: some blinged out bands!
I was treated to quite the supply of Bling on a Roll from Darice, and I knew it would be perfect to make a little something for myself.
Here’s what you need:
- Bling on a Roll
- elastic (or a pre-made elastic headband)
- hot glue/gun
This bling is fantastic! It rolls out super easily, and you can cut it to whatever length you need for your project. It comes in different widths and colors, and there are so many fun ways to use it!
I started out by cutting the bling to the length I wanted it to be. I was using pre-made headbands, so I knew that I couldn’t cover the entire headband and have it still stretch. So I cut mine just to go over the top of my head. If I had been using elastic then I could have made the bling as long as I wanted and accommodated with the extra elastic to fit and give stretch. See, different ways, different looks!
I found the middle of the headband, and then the middle of my piece of bling and hot glued them together.
Then I just slowly glued out from the middle to the end of the bling, stretching the elastic slightly.
Repeat on both sides.
Then go ahead and make a couple more because you love them and they take no time at all!
Now you’re ready to glam up your everyday outfit with a little bling! I know that I sure appreciate anything that makes being home with my kiddos (which I love) a little more glamorous! But these are perfect for work, church, date nite….pretty much anywhere! I may even sport one of these babies to zumba!
