** Disclosure: The Living Planet Aquarium is sponsoring this post. I was provided with admission to the aquarium, but the feelings about our experience there are my own.
Utah locals, I’ve got a great giveaway for you today! And there are going to be FIVE winners!
Summertime can be hot. Summertime can also be long, with kids out of school. Thank goodness for places like The Living Planet Aquarium.
My husband has Thursdays off usually, so we took advantage of having Daddy home and headed to the aquarium last Thursday. We started off going through the local Utah exhibits; I think it is so neat that the aquarium features fish that come from around where we live. Great to be educating children about where they live! This part of the exhibit also has the most adorable otters. They are so cute, you just want to cuddle them. This part really started off the girls’ excitement.
After visiting this area, we headed in to the sea life. The girls were enthralled with the jelly fish; especially the tank where the light changes colors. They thought that was pretty neat!
After visiting the jelly fish, we went to see some other fish, and found out that some of our favorite movie characters were there!
We found Nemo,
and the anemone where Nemo lives!
Another great part about the Living Planet Aquarium is the touch pool. There are rays swimming around in the touch pool that anyone can touch gently! My girls thought that was pretty awesome!
Of course, the penguins are a big hit at the aquarium. Every time we have visited, the penguins always put on quite the show! They are so active and busy, and it just thrills everyone – children and adults alike! We loved watching them zip through the water, especially right in front of my girls’ faces!
The Living Planet Aquarium also features a South American exhibit. Some of our favorites from this exhibit were the spotted rays,
and the caimans. (Any Dora fans out there?)
Our girls had the greatest afternoon, and we loved being able to spend time together as a family doing something that we all enjoy.
And I’m so lucky because today I get to give that same experience away to FIVE winners! The Living Planet Aquarium is offering up five family four packs of tickets to come visit the Living Planet Aquarium. The aquarium is closing September 8th in preparation for their move to a new facility, so you’ll want to use them before then.
