Skinny Banana Pineapple Ice

Hey again! It's Liz from Love Grows Wild, and I'm back today to share a delicious and healthy sweet treat with you! This Banana Pineapple Ice is bursting with fruity flavor and super easy to make! It only needs four ingredients and your freezer does all the hard work for you. In just a few hours you can enjoy a delicious, low-calorie treat that will keep you cool all Summer long!

The temperatures are hitting their peak for Summer, and we're trying our best to stay cool in this hot weather. I have two little boys in my house, so popsicles and ice cream are often requested! But I don't want them eating junk food all the time, so I love making this Banana Pineapple Ice as a healthy alternative! I PROMISE you it does not taste like diet food! 

Skinny Banana Pineapple Ice is a delicious and healthy treat perfect for Summer! Only 4 ingredients needed!

You only need four ingredients: apple juice, bananas, pineapple, and lemon juice. It is as simple as mixing them all together and sticking it in the freezer! After just a few hours you are ready to enjoy a cool treat that is healthy and delicious. The mashed bananas create a really creamy texture while the crushed pineapple gives the ice incredible flavor. We've enjoyed this quite a few times this Summer, and my boys are always asking for it! I like to garnish my ice with pieces of fresh pineapple, but my boys just ask for spoons and dive right in! It has all the fruity tropical flavors of Summer without any of the guilt!

Banana Pineapple Ice

2 cups unsweetened apple juice
2 cups mashed ripe bananas
1 - 8 ounce can unsweetened crushed pineapple, undrained
2 tablespoons lemon juice
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Pour into an 8 inch square dish. Cover and freeze for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until almost firm. Remove from freezer and transfer mixture to a large bowl. Beat for 1-2 minutes or until smooth and creamy. Return mixture to square dish and freeze until firm. Remove from the freezer at least 30 minutes before serving. 

Makes 10 servings

Tip: If your bananas are not ripe enough, place them in a paper bag to speed the process.
