I was super excited to be asked to be part of the Sally Dress Pattern Tour by Shannon from luvinthemommyhood and Very Shannon. I have maybe been coveting this pattern since I first started seeing pictures from the testers.
You can’t tell me you don’t love the Sally Dress, too. The first thing that I love about this dress are the pockets. Oh the pockets! They are so big, and I love how they are added directly into the hemline of the dress. It is a neat look, and I loved being able to use a contrasting fabric for them. You know that I love to pattern mix!
The skirt of the dress is just nice and loose. Very comfortable for my young girls. I really like how it flares out from the bodice.
Another favorite part of the Sally Dress for me is the neckline. I love the square neckline, and the shape where it comes to a point at the tops of the shoulders – it kills me!
The Sally Dress doesn’t have any buttons or zippers; just a nice, open neckline, so it’s easy to go on and off over heads. Which also means a little less help from Mom when getting ready!
Don’t you love the shape, too?
The Sally Dress comes with three different sleeve options. You can sew a sleeveless version or a shorter sleeved version if you like. I can’t say enough how I appreciate a pattern with versatility!
I had so much fun choosing fabrics for this dress. The fabrics are colorful and bright, and just goes perfectly with the dress. My girls are going to be wearing these to church on Sunday. I’m expecting the compliments to roll in!
