You all know that I have a love for coordinating my girls. But sometimes that can get overwhelming if the pattern is more involved than others (which certainly has its place, don’t get me wrong!) So it’s nice when there’s a great pattern that is a quick sew, but a great effect. Which is exactly what the Beachy Boatneck from Blank Slate Patterns is!
I love this pattern. Seriously love. The fit of the shirt is great! I have always loved a boatneck shirt, and this is no exception. I think it is super flattering.
The length on the shirt is also great! My girls are young and they are busy! It’s nice to have a shirt that I don’t have to worry about riding up when they are running, playing, and wrestling. Yes, my girls wrestle.
The hem of the shirt is slightly curved, which is a fun detail. The Beachy Boatneck is a great pattern for knits, which again, I love because they are comfortable for my girls to play in!
You’ll love having this pattern in your collection. I know this is going to become a new go-to pattern for me. It’s perfect for fall and spring with the 3/4 length sleeves, and like I already said, a quick sew!
Melissa, from Melly Sews and Blank Slate Patterns, is donating 50% of all patterns sales this month to the Komen Foundation. Don’t you love when you can support not only a fantastic designer, but also a great cause? Wins all around!
