** I was provided with a salon service, but the opinions are my own.
As a mom, sometimes it is difficult to find time to do all of the things that we need and want to do. Which often means that things that fall in the vein of pampering ourselves fall by the wayside. And by the wayside, I mean that I hadn’t had my hair done since this past February. So I was extremely excited to be given the opportunity to come to Dallas Roberts Salon and try out a service.
Dallas Roberts Salon is located here in Utah, in West Jordan. Which is fantastic, because that is close to me! And let me tell you, this salon is beautiful. When I walked in, I was so impressed with the clean and modern feel to the salon. Right away, there is a couch for guests to wait on, with a gorgeous chandelier hanging overhead. I was immediately greeted by two employees, and they set right to work making me feel comfortable.
I was taken back to a chair to begin my hair service with Carley. Isn’t she darling?
She listened to my ideas on what I wanted to do with my hair, and provided suggestions based on my skin tone and hair style. It was great! After we had an idea what we were going to do, she got right to it! While she was working on putting some highlights into the top of my hair, we were able to sit and chat about so many things. We talked about our families, where we are both from (we’re both from out of state!), and she filled me in on how the beauty school business worked. It was fun to learn more about the schooling that stylists go through to get their expertise.
While we were sitting there chatting, the salon manager, Kyli joined us for some chatting as well. We were talking crafts, hair, and all sorts of things. I felt so comfortable and welcome! It is such a positive, friendly environment. I was given multiple offers for food, candy, and drinks while I was there. Of course, I didn’t pass up a chance to get a Diet Coke, and read some trash mags while I was there.
Once Carley had done the highlights, and also put in the dark underneath, I got to have the full experience of the hair washing room. This room is separate and closed off from the rest of the salon, so you get a quiet, enjoyable experience. Getting my hair washed is always my favorite part of getting my hair done, and now it’s even more so! Not only did Carley wash my hair, but I got a lovely scalp and neck massage in the process. The lights are dim, and it is decorated nicely; the ambience is just incredible. I probably could have stayed in their the entire time and been totally happy!
After receiving my service, Carley gave me a cut, and then styled my hair for me. Why does it always look so much better when someone else does it? She did give me some tips for doing it on my own at least!
The salon of course sells the products that they use. They are arranged wonderfully, and Dallas Roberts even boasts a new cosmetic line.
I truly enjoyed every minute of my experience at Dallas Roberts Salon, and I cannot wait to go back when my hair is ready to be touched up. Carley and I already planned what we’re going to do next time in fact! Dallas Roberts Salon has been featured in many magazines, among them Allure, Marie Claire, Elle, and Salon City. Once you go in, you will understand why!
