** This post is part of Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores Celebrate the Seasons campaign. I was provided with compensation but the ideas are my own. #turkeytablescapes
Thanksgiving is upon us, and we are lucky to have my parents visiting us for the holiday this year. (No traveling for either holiday for us – score!) The theme for this month with Jo-Ann is #turkeytablescapes, so this basically couldn’t have come at a better time! I know that these wine glass charms are going to come in handy; in my family, everyone always has a drink, so we need a way to keep them all straight. Plus, these are super easy to make!
Here’s what you need to get started:
- blank earring rings
- charms (or in my case, earring dangles to take apart)
- jewelry making pliers
I started off with the earring dangles, and started removing the individual charms from one of them. It is super easy to pry open the rings with some jewelry making pliers.
Take the blank earring ring, and string on beads. I kept mine super simple. Using these earring ring blanks, you’ll want to make sure the beads you use have a large hole.
Yeah, that’s seriously it. They are really simple, but I think that keeps them a bit more classy looking, which is perfect for the gold and cream (mostly) theme that I am using for the table.
Be sure to make them all different so that drinks don’t get mixed up!
Would you like to see the rest of my Thanksgiving table? I got most of my items from Jo-Ann.
The pumpkin was on fall clearance, and I glitter blasted that baby to add a little color.
I also got the tablecloth and the leaf garland on fall clearance – talk about some amazing deals! I cut the leaves off the garland, and painted them with a glitter top coat to give them a little sparkle. The gold mesh I just weaved around on the table.
I am pretty thrilled with how it turned out. I think it’s going to be so gorgeous on Thanksgiving Day!
And don’ you love the charms? Just a simple, extra little detail to add to our festivities. We’re not wine drinkers, but I will say that Diet Coke is significantly more satisfying when drunk from a goblet.
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Are you hosting this year? Even if you’re not hosting, wouldn’t these charms make a great hostess gift?
