.:Pink, Glitter & Green Advent Calendar:.

** I was provided with a gift card to purchase my supplies from Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts as part of their Celebrate the Season campaign. #fabulouslyfestive

I know what you’re thinking. Another advent calendar, really? Yes, really. This one is simple, and cute, and just another take on a classic holiday favorite.

Here’s what you need:

- scrapbook paper
- stickers
- double sided tape OR sewing machine/accessories
- tags
- washi tape
- ribbon
- frame/wire/clips OR some sort of display to hang the advent calendar from

I found all of these lovely supplies at Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts. (Along with a bunch of other items I hadn’t intended to purchase, but that is just what happens when you go to Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts, am I right?)

I wanted to make 24 envelopes to count down until Christmas. I started off by cutting my scrapbook paper into smaller pieces to make the envelopes. I cut two pieces into 3”x6” pieces, and one piece into 2”x6” pieces. I made them 6” long so that I could fold them in half to make a 3” envelope – which will fit the tags just about perfectly.

If you don’t feel like sewing the tags, then just fold them in half length wise and use double sided tape to secure the edges. Easy!

Or, you can use your sewing machine to stitch the edges up. Just be sure to leave the top open for the tags to go into! I used contrasting thread for each color of paper.

Once your envelopes are made, lay them out in the order that you want them to be.

Embellish them however you like! I found some cute holiday stickers that dressed the envelopes up a little bit.

Now take the tags – you can buy them pre- made, or you could cut some out with whatever digital cutting machine you have – and wrap some washi tape around the bottoms.

Cut pieces of ribbon, and make a loop. Stick both ends through the hole on the tag.

Pull the ends through the loop.

Write out your favorite holiday activities and stick the tags in the envelopes.

Now you’re ready to enjoy the festivities all season long!

Of course, our advent matches perfectly with the pink tree in my girls’ room. Three girls, remember? All things pink!

I don’t know, that looks pretty fabulously festive, doesn’t it?
