.:Santa Plate:.

This post was originally over at Positively Splendid for Amy's Swell Noel series. There are lots of great ideas over there!

I decided to share something that is super simple to make, but also super important for any of the little kids in your life.

Here’s what you’ll need:

- charger plate
- vinyl
- transfer tape
- digital cutting machine (I used my Cricut Mini, but you can easily do this with any machine!)

Measure the width of the outside of the charger plate. Plan to create your text and graphics to fit this measurement.

Cut out the vinyl, and then peel the negative space. Place transfer tape over your design, and use the transfer tape to apply it to the plate. Rub the design down well, and slowly peel up the transfer tape.

Since a plate has a curve, you may choose to split up the words to get a better curved effect with your vinyl.

Now you are all ready for Christmas Eve! Get out the cookies and milk, and Santa will be able to eat off this darling plate.

And if you must know, I did have to sample the cookies. Someone had to do it for the photo, right? Let's not talk about the additional cookies I had afterwards. Ahem.

  1. Looks so cute! I want to make a plate with the kids, but don't have a cutter so I think we'll go the sharpie route. This is adorable and the cookies looks so much better with a bite missing - thanks for taking one for the team! :)

  3. So fun! I have never made one of these. Call me scrooge, but I've never even told my girls about this tradition. I should probably fix that this year. I will definitely be making one of these. Thanks for the reminder!

  5. I really need to make our plate cute. We have a red one, but it plain and boring. This is on the to do list.
